Months ago, a mother elephant and her calf were killed by a train near a rural rail line. At the time, it was written off as a tragic accident. I asked people around and they said he comes there every day and lies down for a few hours.
Then he goes somewhere and comes again the next day!
It's long past time to understand that there are things in life much more important than money, power, and career. There is something in the world called true, selfless Love!

caught him sitting on the couch like this, completely unbothered, just embracing his new identity as a whole loaf. honestly it explains a lotā€¦ the soft personality, the way he always rises to the occasion, and how he somehow disappears every time bread is left unattended on the counter

i donā€™t think he understands whatā€™s happening but iā€™m pretty sure he thinks this is a promotion. went from family dog to full bakery item overnight.

Today, I said goodbye to a little dog who once believed this world might be gentle with him.

If you really look at the photoā€¦ youā€™ll notice something thatā€™s hard to shake.
Thereā€™s still food scattered across his fur. Like he was in the middle of eating.
Like he thought he had just a little more time.

He didnā€™t.

He never made a sound.
No cries. No struggle anyone could hear.
Justā€¦ silence.

And thatā€™s the part that stays with you ā€” how quietly some lives slip away, as if they never wanted to trouble anyone, even at the end.

I keep thinkingā€¦ he must have hoped for something.
A hand. A voice. A place to feel safe.
Maybe he waited for it longer than he should have had to.

But when I found him, all I could give was the ending he deserved ā€”
something soft, something respectful, something that said, you mattered.

So I buried him.
Gently. Carefully. Like he was always meant to be treated.

No more cold nights.
No more hunger.
No more waiting.

Just rest now, little one.
You should have known warmth. You should have known love.
Iā€™m sorry the world didnā€™t give you that sooner.
