They weren’t playing! The bachelor stallion, Flame (dark), was going to get a mare and was ready to fight anyone. My lighting wasn’t the greatest but Flame gave me no warning. He was in a fury like I’ve never seen before. The power of Salt Wells. Fall, 2024 Salt Wells, Wyoming

He’s coming to investigate us! Have you ever seen such a gorgeous horses as Jack of Hearts. Wait until the end of the video to see his beautiful blue eyes and gorgeous naturally highlighted curly mane. All of that and he has a wonderful personality too. What more could you ask for??

They meant business!! Their frustration didn’t last long. One stallion went down on his hind quarters unfortunately but was up right away. Just a few seconds and all that was left was the dust in the air! Onaqui north herd

Avalanche protecting the stud pile from Silver Star! Two beautiful horses. Then Avalanche decides that the stud pile isn’t that important and he slowly walks off. Always very puzzling to figure out what they must be thinking at times. Fun with the Onaqui south herd! Fall, 2022.

Las Vegas (blk and white) and his lieutenant, Kiamichi. Do they ever get along??? They were two of my favorites to photograph, never a dull moment but nothing serious. I called Las Vegas the fancy prancer and you can see why. After the 2023 round up Las Vegas was adopted by with his mare, Smoke. Kiamichi was adopted by . Both are excellent homes and we thank you so much for taking them in to your wonderful sanctuaries. Taken spring, 2023

Yes, even Jack-of-Hearts gets rejected!! Jack is the gentlest stallion I know and he apparently gets rejected once in awhile, even my his mare, Sweetness. He sure has sired some beautiful foals. Most of them, this little foal included, looks like a mini Jack. I want you to notice the beautiful scenery. Jack always takes his band up on the mountain in the fall and it’s gorgeous up there but windy..... of course!

Quick encounter?? I thought it was a quick encounter, but they just wouldn’t give up and ended up in a chase. North herd at Onaqui. Fall 2024

Does San Jose have any luck? NO....She continually kicks San Jose to the curb! I don’t know what it is with him, but he always has strong willed mares in his band! They definitely have a mind of their own. lol Notice the scenery too, McCullough Peaks has some of the prettiest scenery even! McCullough Peaks.... fall, 2023
