COPS REFUSED TO HELP IN LIBERAL CITY!!!

Caution!!!
New load of SUVs. Parked with a the rear hanging out over the ditch. Woke up in the middle of the night thinking someone had hit my truck. Ended up being local bangers stole the back unit right off the trailer. Yes I got in a hurry and left the key fob in the cup holder. Not my normal practice, but it only takes once. I had picked up that morning and was delivering the next morning.
I was in a liberal city and the cops said that unless I had video or could positively identify the thieves they would not even go looking for the stolen unit because the DA would not prosecute. They just took a report and submitted it. They said even if they found them a block away they wouldn’t even arrest them because the DA would kick the case. So I delivered the other six units to the rental car company they were headed to a few miles away and told them what happened. Never heard from them again🤷🏻♂️.
The unit was recovered about a month later when it was totaled in a wreck in another state.
Do not leave keys in cars! 🙄
