Reunions: A New Musical Delivers Delightful Escapism

The new musical Reunions at City Center is a charming, light, and airy double feature that offers perfect escapism. Combining two vintage one-act plays, the show is a funny, nostalgic look at love, independence, and social expectations.

Act I, "The Twelve Pound Look," is a witty critique of class and the "gilded cage" of success, starring Brian Fenkart and the captivating Chilina Kennedy as the first wife who chose freedom.

Act II, "A Sunny Morning," shifts to a park in Madrid where two septuagenarians (played with grace and charm by Joanna Glushak and Chip Zien) realize they were long-lost lovers, choosing to preserve their perfect, romantic memories with beautiful lies.

With a joyful, era-appropriate score, Reunions is exactly what a night at the theater should be: delightful escapism that leaves you smiling.
