As I got older and became more of a go-getter, I matured—not just as a person but also as a professional. I became determined to demonstrate my commitment and dedication. I would often work late or push myself beyond my limits, even when I was sick. A few times, a coworker would tell me that I was doing too much and that I wasn’t pouring the same energy into taking care of myself.

I remember when I earned my degree and received an educational certificate. I was supposed to get a pay raise from the same workplace, but when I asked why the increase was so minimal, they explained it was due to a lack of experience ($15.70 to $15.97). I was baffled because the person who had interviewed me initially said they wouldn’t hire me unless I had the necessary experience, which I had.

It was in that moment that I realized how easy it is for a company to use you and drain your energy because you're beneficial to them. But they don’t value you enough to see your worth or compensate you accordingly.

Therefore, I made the decision to leave and pursue opportunities where I could be appreciated, where my skills and efforts would be recognized and properly rewarded.

So, to my dear empowered professional women, I want to remind you that your worth is not defined by how much you give to others, nor is it determined by the space you occupy in an organization that fails to recognize your value. You are not here to be overworked, underappreciated, or undervalued. Your contributions are invaluable, and it’s time to demand the respect, recognition, and compensation that reflects your true potential.

Don’t let anyone dictate your worth or limit your growth because of your background, your identity, or the color of your skin. Know that you are deserving of the highest opportunities and the highest rewards. Your growth—professionally and personally—is just as important as the work you put in. Prioritize your mental well-being, because a healthy mind and spirit are essential for sustained success.

It’s okay to step back, reassess, and choose a path where your brilliance shines and is celebrated. Don’t settle for environments that drain you, and don’t allow yourself to be in spaces that don't support your growth or mental peace. Keep pushing, keep advocating for yourself, and never settle for anything less than what you deserve. Your journey is yours to shape, and you have the power to create a future that is fulfilling, empowering, and rewarding. Your well-being, both mentally and emotionally, should always be a priority.

Sis,

Stillness is not a luxury, but a necessity. I am here to remind you that in the hustle and bustle of life, especially for those striving for greatness, it's easy to lose touch with your inner selves.

Embrace the moments of stillness, where you can listen to your inner voice, connect with your purpose, connect with God and reflect on your journey.

Nurturing one's soul and finding peace in the chaos is extremely necessary; so make space for quietude in order to refresh, renew, and realign with your true selves, no matter how much you accomplish.

I've seen accomplished women with strong educational backgrounds start businesses, pursue passions, and build solid financial foundations. Despite their success, many experience burnout and dissatisfaction. As an Empowerment Guide & Consultant at Sisters N-Courage Network, I support these women. Our unique approach focuses on personal growth and shared experiences, providing a safe, non-judgmental space for women to explore and empower themselves by challenging societal norms.

This is not for you if:

- You prefer to stay within your comfort zone and avoid challenging the status quo.
- You’re not interested in personal growth or exploring shared experiences with other sisters.
- You’re looking for overnight success rather than a transformative journey towards empowerment.
- You’re not ready to engage in open and honest conversations about your challenges and aspirations.
- You're not interested in being apart of a global community of powerhouses

If you're seeking to join a community of ambitious, success-oriented women, engage in enriching experiences, challenge the status quo, and create a space for total empowerment, sign up for our waitlist. Be the first to know when the S.E.E.N Tribe opens.

In Matthew 17:20, Jesus responds to his disciples, saying, "Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

Even the tiniest amount of faith can lead to remarkable outcomes. So, let's hold onto our faith, knowing that with it, we can overcome any obstacle and achieve what seems impossible.

"I made decisions that I regret, and I took them as learning experiences... I'm human, not perfect, like anybody else." - Queen Latifah

We need to embrace our imperfections because that’s where our true power lies. Our flaws reveal our strength, resilience, and creativity.

Mistakes are okay; they offer valuable lessons for growth. Don’t beat yourself up when things go wrong—view those moments as opportunities to learn.

Remember to show yourself some damn grace and compassion. You’re human, not a f*cking machine, so be gentle with yourself and prioritize self-care. You deserve it, sis!
