๐จ๐ฆ๐ฑ PROTECTING CHILDREN ONLINE: NECESSARY OR TOO FAR?
Canada is proposing stronger rules to hold social media and AI platforms accountable and to restrict access to social media for children under 16.
Supporters argue that too many young people are facing anxiety, depression, cyberbullying, exploitation, and harmful online content. They believe stronger protections are needed to keep children safe in the digital age.
Critics, however, question whether such restrictions limit personal freedoms, parental choice, and young people's access to information and communication.
The debate is growing across the world:
โก๏ธ Should governments do more to protect children online? โก๏ธ Should social media access be restricted for minors? โก๏ธ Are platforms doing enough to ensure children's safety?
What do YOU think?
โค๏ธ YES โ Children need stronger online protections.
๐ NO โ Parents, not governments, should decide.
