🔥 HONDA BUILT A ROADSTER THAT DIDN’T NEED A TURBO.

The S2000 wasn’t designed to chase horsepower numbers.

It was designed to make the driver feel everything.

🇯🇵 1999 — AP1
Honda dropped a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated VTEC four-cylinder that could rev to the moon, paired with rear-wheel drive and a 6-speed manual.

⚡ 2004 — AP1
Updated styling and refinements kept the formula alive while the S2000 continued building its reputation among American enthusiasts.

🔥 2006 — AP2
The engine grew to 2.2 liters, bringing more torque while keeping the high-revving character and razor-sharp manual gearbox.

The myth says twin turbo versus single turbo is an easy win. The streets say otherwise when that Eclipse GSX is tuned and hooking with AWD while the 300ZX fights for traction with its 300HP. 195HP versus 300HP never looked so close. This is 90s Japan at its wildest. So which key are you grabbing?
