What would the world be like if we were able to confront people in a manner that is beneficial to our mental health and our bond as a society? Are we to accept the fact that we just can’t come to an understanding? Are we really still that immature as a society that we can’t find common ground to fix the problems that plague us all? I wouldn’t say it’s creating utopia. It’s becoming mature as a society to handle criticism and cope with changes that occur which do not work in our favor. and if you feel that way it gives the impression that you fear change. A mature society would be able to communicate. We’re just not ready.

A day in the life of my service

The words will forever echo in my mind.
"Good Luck in life",
"Make sure she fits into her uniform",
"I'm sorry Petty Officer, you failed."

These words are now imprinted in my memory and still affects me today.

Every. Time. I. Eat.

"Make sure she fits her uniform." That one is special. The person who said it didn't think they were being heard by the whole room and they said some interesting things about my weight.

"Baby, this uniform you wanted me to personally model, is from boot camp. I have room for one more since you want to be up in my business how you do."...

What If We’ve Been Taught to Swallow Silence?
What No One Told Us About Being "Strong"

We were raised to be strong.

To swallow our feelings. To stay calm when we were breaking inside. To smile through pain so we wouldn’t make others uncomfortable.

But here’s a question I keep circling back to:

What if strength was never meant to be silent?

What if your loud laugh, your heartbreak, your rage, your boundaries, your softness—what if all of it is strength too?

This week, I caught myself apologizing for telling my truth. Again. And again. And again.

Why do we do that?

Why do we filter our experiences to make them more palatable?

I think it’s time we talked about it.

So, here’s what I’m asking of you:

Do You Ever Miss the You That Was Brave Enough to Dream?

There’s a version of you—somewhere between childhood and adulthood—that you quietly packed away.

She believed in magic.

She believed in her voice.

She danced without waiting for music.

She dreamed out loud.

And slowly, without meaning to, she became inconvenient.

Too loud. Too sensitive. Too ambitious.

Too much.

So you tucked her away.

You learned how to survive instead of thrive.

You got quieter. Smaller. Safer.

But I want to ask something bold:

What would happen if you let her come back?

What if you gave her five minutes today? Just five.

Would she write again? Sing? Build? Speak up?

Would she forgive you?

I’ve been thinking about this version of me—how I abandoned her in favor of being “practical” and “realistic.” But every time I write here, she whispers back.

And I think she forgives me…

because I’m finally listening.
