Prayer is still one of the most powerful weapons we are given, for every battle we face.
This week, like many others, I have been grieved, felt weary, and faced trials.
As I sit here even now, I am overwhelmed by the many hurts and struggles so many are going through.
Often times we say things like,
“What can I do, besides pray?”
“All’s I can do is pray.”
“There’s not much I can do, just pray.”
We fail to remember that prayer is such a powerful weapon.
When we pray we approach the throne room.
When we pray the scriptures, we walk in authority.
Prayer reaches the deepest depths and the highest heights.
Prayer goes where we cannot go on our own.
Prayer achieves what we would never achieve, if we tried to handle it of our own accord.
Prayer is a lifeline; not a last resort.
Prayer is love in action.
Hebrews 4:16
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
The lyrics to the song below came to my mind as I was thinking about the many people who need a divine miracle.
I asked the Lord what I could do to help all these people in all these different situations,
And He reminded me….
“Use the most important and powerful weapon I have given you. Prayer!”
Matthew 18:18-20
18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

And if I know my Father

If you need healing, I pray Jeremiah 17:14 over you.
“Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.”
If you need comfort, I pray Psalms 34:28 over you.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
If you need strength, I pray Psalms 73:26 over you.
“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
If you need peace, I pray John 14:27 over you.
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
If you need provision, I pray Philippians 4:19 over you.
“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”
If you need salvation, I pray Acts 2:21 over you.
“And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
2 Peter 3:9
“The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.”
Whatever it is going need, I will pray and believe Romans 8:28
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
Mark 9:23
“If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Luke 1:37
“For with God nothing shall be impossible.”
