Books on the Ground: A Black Unicorn Literacy Movement

Newark, NJ — Rashanna E. James-Frison, 18-year-old poet, author, and Newark native, has launched a campaign to gift 1,000 copies of her debut poetry book, The Black Unicorn: A Daughter from Newark, to 1,000 eighth grade girls in schools across Newark by winter break 2025.
