🚧 from New York Build Expo 🚧

🌱 was in support of our client, , a nonprofit founded by Tamika S. Lowe, CEO of F & F General Contracting and Advisory Board Member of , a new developer training program modeled after offerings in Germantown, Philadelphia and Wilmington, DE.

The energy at the Javits Center has been undeniable, but so has the imbalance—hundreds, if not thousands, poured in, yet women in the field are few, far between, and still face barriers. WMBE businesses are getting certified but not winning awards. Early-career women vocalized their concerns about the male-dominated presence, reinforcing the need for career path exploration, trajectory styling support, and stronger industry networks.

The good news? is actively building that support system. Established contractors and tradeswomen at the expo expressed their desire to receive support, be a support, and uplift rising GCs and women in trades—and the directory being built will be a game-changer.

The work continues. Tap in.

🍂💧As fall continues here in New Jersey, it’s more important than ever to be mindful of our water usage. With seasonal changes and ongoing water conservation efforts, small actions can make a big impact. Here are 5 simple steps you can take to help protect our water resources and support a more sustainable future for NJ:

1️⃣ Reduce usage by 65% and opt for a commercial car wash instead of washing your car at home. 🚗

2️⃣ Postpone water-intensive yard work, like reseeding your lawn, until conditions improve.

3️⃣ Sweep, don’t hose patios, driveways, and sidewalks. Never hose down paved surfaces! 🧹

4️⃣ Fix leaks around your home and irrigation system to prevent water waste.

5️⃣ If you’re still watering plants, use less water and consider a rain barrel or watering can. 🌱

Visit dep.nj.gov/conserve-water/why-conserve-water/ to learn more about the importance of water conservation and how you can do your part.
