With the Oregon high school football season coming to a close Friday, I figured what better time to release my final video for the 2025 Newberg football season.
What a great group of young student-athletes who battled every Friday night. I don’t know if they were ever the biggest or fastest team when taking the field, but they were definitely the toughest each Friday. Teams FELT IT when they played Newberg.
While it’s easy to say they were a few plays here, an injury or two there from doing something special - I hope players, coaches, family, friends and fans realize how special it still was. Making it to the big state tourney, giving a long-time rival everything they could handle for a league title literally down to the final play of the final game of the regular season, testing yourselves against literally the best the state has to offer (and holding your own in the regular season) and getting to give a city joy and pride every Friday night.
Thank you Newberg football for letting me be a part of the ride. It was a blast capturing this special 2025 season for you.
