Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the bravery of the first responders, service members, and everyday heroes who showed extraordinary courage in the face of tragedy. 🤍🇺🇸

🇺🇸 The City of Indio invites the community to come together on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 9 a.m. at Miles Avenue Park for a remembrance ceremony honoring the lives lost on 9/11, as well as the courage and sacrifice of first responders and military members who continue to protect our nation.

Following the ceremony, Indio will break ground on a new 9/11 Memorial featuring a 12-foot steel artifact from the former World Trade Center. This memorial will serve as a lasting place for reflection, remembrance, and education—an opportunity for generations to connect with history and honor resilience.

All residents, visitors, and neighboring communities are welcome to join this important day of honor and reflection.
