Due to weather conditions, Newton Community School District will be dismissing 2 hours early today, Thurs, Dec 11. No PM preschool. No evening activities. The Emerson Hough, Thomas Jefferson & Woodrow Wilson 2nd grade concerts and art shows have been rescheduled for Tues, Dec 16. All times remain the same.

EDIT - The City of Newton, Newton Main Street, and the Greater Newton Area Chamber of Commerce have canceled the Enchanted Nights Holiday Lights event scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 13 at Maytag Park due to the forecasted inclement weather and unsafe conditions that include cold temperatures and below-zero wind chills. All ticket holders will receive a full refund, which will begin processing shortly. Refunds will begin showing in your accounts in 5-10 business days - no action needed on your part
