Not something I’m in the habit of doing, but I found myself running the Kenai beach at 6 a.m. this morning.
Bluebird skies. The tide out. Mount Redoubt standing watch clear across the inlet.
There’s something about mornings like that that just puts your head in the right place.
Running in the sand is no joke. Every step feels like you’re working twice as hard, but I still managed to knock out 2 miles at a decent pace. More than anything, it was a reminder of how lucky we are to call this place home.
After nearly 3 weeks in Anchorage, I am beyond thankful to be home.
The mountains, the water, the quiet, the space to think…it’s easy to take it for granted when you see it every day.
I’m back in the studio this week and looking forward to sharing more stories from this incredible corner of the world. The beauty of Alaska isn’t just in the scenery, it’s in the people who live it every day. More to come.
