For most of human history, women’s bodies looked soft, grounded, and unlifted, especially in the hips, thighs, and buttocks.
That wasn’t a flaw. It was female biology.

Estrogen naturally directs fat to the lower body for fertility, pregnancy, and survival.
Glute muscles at rest are not lifted. A fold where the butt meets the thigh is normal anatomy, not “sagging.”

The ultra-lifted, round, high-sitting butt became popular very recently, mainly in the late 1990s and especially the 2010s, alongside:
• social media
• targeted glute training
• cosmetic procedures
• filters, posing, and constant flexing

What we now call “normal” is often a trained, altered, or curated body, not a resting one.

That doesn’t make those bodies wrong.
But it does mean many women are comparing themselves to something that was never the biological baseline.

If your body is softer…
If it looks different relaxed than posed…
If it hasn’t been sculpted or altered…

You are not behind.
You are not failing.
You are not broken.

You look like women have always looked, before beauty became a performance.

This post isn’t about shaming change.
It’s about remembering what was always human.
