About The Author

I’ve been married to the love of my life, Nina, for over 10 years, and together we’re raising our five amazing children — our daughter Tyla, and our four sons Micah, Alexander, Lucas, and Jaxon. They’re my biggest inspiration, and at the heart of everything I do. I never dreamed of becoming an author. Growing up, my goals were simple: build a career in business, find the right partner, and raise a family. I was working my way up the corporate ladder when the world suddenly changed during Covid. Overnight, my office became the living room, my coworkers became my kids, and everything we did was virtual. When schools reopened, my flexible work-from-home schedule allowed me to volunteer through a program called Watchdogs. Every Friday for six months, I spent time in classrooms — reading to kids in funny voices, helping teachers, and serving as a positive role model. That’s where the spark for my books began. My children often shared their magical wishes: “What if I had a robot? Or a unicorn? Or even a leprechaun?” I’d laugh and say, “Be careful what you wish for!”
That question became the heartbeat of my picture book series. Could you imagine a T-Rex stomping through your bedroom? A mischievous leprechaun turning everything upside down? A robot that beeps and boops at the wrong time? Each story grew out of the wishes my kids dreamed up — Lucas wished for a leprechaun, Jaxon for a T-Rex, Alexander for a robot, and the list keeps growing. Thanks to crowdfunding through Kickstarter, I was able to bring these ideas to life and get the books into production. And I’m not stopping — more adventures are on the way, from holiday favorites like elves, snowmen, and cupids to spooky surprises like werewolves. I publish under the pen name YB Robeson, which comes from the nicknames my wife and I share — Yogi and BooBoo. Every time someone reads one of my books, they connect not only with a fun story but with a little piece of my family. And for me, that’s what it’s all about.
