🔥 FIRE C***R 🌶️🍎 but let’s make a childrens version this time
If you’ve never made fire c***r before, this is your sign! It’s an herbal vinegar tonic traditionally made with apple c***r vinegar, garlic, onion, ginger, horseradish, and spicy peppers. 🌿
✨ Why people love it:
🧄 Garlic — contains sulfur compounds such as allicin. Regular garlic intake may have modest benefits for blood pressure and cholesterol.
🫚 Ginger — has good evidence for helping with nausea and may have anti-inflammatory effects. It can also support digestion.
🌶️ Hot peppers — contain capsaicin, which has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and may have modest metabolic effects.
🧅 Onion — provides flavonoids and other antioxidant compounds.
🍯 Honey — can soothe a cough and irritated throat. It also has antioxidant properties.
🍎 Apple c***r vinegar — vinegar consumed with a carbohydrate-containing meal may modestly reduce the post-meal blood-glucose rise.
🌿 Horseradish — contains glucosinolates and other plant compounds with antioxidant activity.
🍋 LEMON
Lemon adds vitamin C and plant compounds called flavonoids. Vitamin C supports normal immune function, helps with collagen production and wound healing, and acts as an antioxidant.
🍊 ORANGE
Orange adds vitamin C plus citrus flavonoids such as hesperidin, which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity. The peel also contains beneficial citrus oils and flavonoids using some zest or peel can add extra plant compounds.
Fill a clean glass jar about ¾ full with:
🍊Oranges
🍋Lemons
🧄 Garlic
🧅 Onion
🫚 Fresh ginger
🌶️ Hot peppers (I leave out when doing kids version)
🌿 Fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)
🥕 Horseradish (optional, but traditional)
Pour apple c***r vinegar over everything until completely covered.
Cover with a non-reactive lid (or place parchment between a metal lid and the vinegar), then let it sit in a cool, dark place for 2–4 weeks.. burp the jar every day .. twice if needed
Strain out the solids and stir in raw honey to taste once strained. 🍯
Store the finished c***r in the refrigerator
You can also use a small amount in water, tea, salad dressings, or marinades.
