A man from Normal, Illinois is behind bars after allegedly causing the death of an unborn child. Authorities say 31-year-old Emerson Evans gave abortion-inducing medication to a pregnant woman without her consent, leading to a medical emergency and miscarriage. Bloomington Police and Fire crews responded to the scene Friday night. Investigators say Evans was arrested and charged with two counts of intentional homicide of an unborn child. He remains in custody as the investigation continues.
