NAGN Purpose of this page is to have content that can be shared from that gets posted on the North Adams Good News page.

Due to the North Adams Good News page being private FB doesn't allow posts to be shared from there. Moving forward, we will put any of our exclusive content here and share to the original NAGN page. That way members can click on the link to the original post and share it. It's a nuisance, but the only way we can figure out how to allow our members to share original content from the NAGN page.

Hair and nail salons, along with barbershops, are valuable additions to downtown areas. They attract a steady stream of visitors throughout the day. While waiting for their appointments, customers frequently browse nearby shops or enjoy a meal at local restaurants before heading home. North Adams boasts several well-regarded salons both downtown and across the city. Just yesterday, one of our team members visited Melissa's upstairs and opted for a striking new hair color, showcasing the impressive before-and-after results. A big thank you to all these businesses for their contributions to our community!

I received a painting by Morel de Tangry today, and I'm hoping to find a North Adams connection beyond just the label on the back. Did he visit or know someone, or was it simply purchased and ended up in North Adams? So far, I discovered that he was Dutch and that most of his work dates from the late 1800s to early 1900s. The label is partly missing, but I’m guessing it might have come from the Kimbell Building on Main Street, which is still standing. I'm curious if the label belonged to a private collection, a gallery, or a framing business—definitely more research to do! If anyone knows more, please share!
