This is the only little paint I’ve hatched and held back so far this year. Since my focus has been on improving my mottleds, I haven’t kept many others - but boy, has she not let me down already! 😍

She is just the most perfect little ball of fluff!

PS… Peep the little black stripe at the base of her tail, just like my dear Marjorie girl πŸ₯Ή

We picked up another bag of Kalmbach Feeds, Inc. Chickhouse Reserve (if you haven’t tried it, I HIGHLY recommend it!) and snagged a few Flock Blocks from Spikes & Houles for each of the flocks.

They have Kalmbach’s summer selections in stock right now, and the Lavender flavor smells SO good. I’m obsessed! πŸ˜‚πŸ’œ

For those that have asked for an update on this little map I created a few months back to highlight all the states that I’ve been lucky enough to share our precious Chick & Charm Silkies with… here it is! πŸ’œ

🀩 πŸ‘πŸŽ 𝐭𝐨𝐭𝐚π₯ π₯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐒𝐨𝐧𝐬 across the United States πŸ₯³ 16 of those states are new since I last shared this! 🀯

I can’t stress enough how much this means to us, and we hope to be able to share our Silkies and our love for this incredible breed with even more flocks across the rest of the country in the future!

And while this map only highlights U.S. locations, it’s been incredibly special hearing from a couple of wonderful Silkie families we've been lucky enough to connect with beyond our borders as well. πŸ’œ

10 weeks old and getting cuter by the day.

Even though my goals for this year are striving for more dark skinned mottled birds, I couldn’t help but hold this one back. Her markings were striking from hatch 😍

This community has brought so many unexpected connections, conversations, opportunities, and genuinely kind people into my life. Whether you’ve hatched eggs from my flock, adopted chicks or birds, supported a post, shared kind words, or simply followed along - thank you. It truly means the world to me.

Seeing chicks, and birds from our little flock become part of so many different homes and coops across the country is so humbling to me. It’s something I’m incredibly grateful for, and I don’t take any of the support lightly πŸ’—
