Had a great day at Finnell Farms! Spoke with some returning friends and made some new ones too! If you are here from the event today, what was your favorite product that you purchased or what are you excited to get in the future?

Had my last day of farm sitting today, and I now have no scheduled horse time so who needs a farm sitter for vacation this year?!

Thank you all for being here. I have been trying to balance prepping for this event/figure out what inventory looks like, making some changes to some products 🫣, and what it looks like not having a job. I want this to be my job. And every single person here is help making that happen. I am hopefully going to be back to some more "content". Facebook is definitely suckering me into it with "bonuses" so your engagement here means the world to me.

I feel like I can't say it enough. Thank you for being here ❤️🤘

If you stop at the farmstand today, it won't have anything but eggs 😬

Because I took the signs and products to Finnell Farms! And some of the new dish soaps are here! So if you are wanting to do a little shopping, have fun with the kids, grab some produce and support a bunch of small businesses — come on down!

If you guessed whey, on the picture of the almost fluorescent liquid — you were absolutely correct!

Whey is also a super food and contains all nine amino acids needed by the human body for everyday function. I am not sure what I will use my whey for yet, I may freeze dry it — just to give me more time to decide what I want to do.

But it is beneficial to all living creatures, essentially. Many feed their whey to their livestock because it is a great source of protein.

My whey came from creating yogurt. Goat milk yogurt to be exact. The crazy thing is all it took was my goat milk and a spoonful of plain Greek yogurt. That's it. I am obsessed with yogurt and this new switch is mind blowing to me.

I made a little parfait of sorts last night. Homemade goat milk yogurt, raspberries, maple syrup and granola. It could be the best thing I've ever made. But so simple! My cheese supplies will be in soon! 👀

Hey!

Anyone have opinions on tripods to hold your phone? Not looking to spend anything crazy. I just need a way to hold my phone up on the counter and out in the barn. Preferably, something that can be made short or tall. Probably should have an indoor one and an outdoor one 😐

A part of what I do to generate income for the farm is creating good quality, engaging content. And this farm thing is my job now. Last month I made over $100 from facebook alone. That may not seem like much, but that is roughly 400 to 700 pounds of feed depending on what you get! That doesn't happen every month, but it would be swelll if it did! And a tripod would make things a lot easier and possibly make my content better! I should take some pictures of the funny positions I have put my phone in to get the perfect shot 🫣😬😆

Who can relate? 🙋🏼‍♀️

Yes, Lola is on top of the backhoe 🙄

It's insane how many "liquid golds" we deal with here on the farm. Goat milk, tallow, lard, homemade broth, and the list goes on.

Can you guess what type of liquid gold this is? 👀

Wow, almost 3k followers here on FB! Catching up to the ole TT 😆 Haven't done this in awhile and we have a few hundred new faces. Think we can do 3k followers by the 4th of July?

Hi, we are the Fisher's!

We always knew we were meant to live in the country — we just never imagined it would lead us to the life we’re living now. It started small: a few ducks for the pond in the summer of 2019, then four goats that came home with us that Christmas. From there, everything unfolded naturally, organically, swiftly. One project turned into another, the animals multiplied — you've heard of chicken math, I have graduated to goat geometry, and before we knew it, we were building a life centered around self‑sufficiency and using what we have right here on our land. Our goal is simple: eliminate as much dependence on the grocery store as possible and live in a way that feels honest, intentional, and connected to the work of our own hands.

Josh is a roofer by trade, and anyone who knows that line of work knows how physically demanding it is. But his skills, ingenuity, and willingness to give anything a try are some of the most valuable things we have on this farm. If something needs to be built, repaired, or completely invented from scratch, he’ll figure it out — and it always turns out better than expected. He works harder than anyone I know. If he’s not on a roof, he’s here on the farm building, fixing, improving, or dreaming up the next project. He may not love the customer‑facing side of things, but that’s alright — because the talkative half of this team gets that from her dad!

I’m Sam, and I’ve spent many years in the financial industry. For a long time, that career provided stability and direction. But in 2024, everything shifted. After working remotely for two years, my employer suddenly demanded we return to the office. With everything happening on the farm, that simply wasn’t possible. Josh didn’t even hesitate — “Quit. We’ll figure it out.” So I did. The stability disappeared overnight, but what replaced it was purpose. I have now quit my part‑time job that came next, because i just can't seem to conform to corporate America norms. We may not be financially stable yet, but we’re building something real — a farm that can support itself, a lifestyle rooted in hard work and resourcefulness, and a business that reflects our values. Every bar of soap, every product we make, every improvement on this land is a step toward the life we’re building together. And we’re grateful you’re here to be part of it.

The second fainter born on the Fisher Farm! And it's a girl! AND SHE HAS WATTLES — just like her momma.

All the other babies are out of the baby baby stage. Now I get to be back in it and she is the sweetest little peanut 💕
