It’s that time of year again! If you’re local or will happen to be in town, join the Red Rock crew at this year’s Las Vegas Book Festival on Saturday, Oct. 17th. Admission is free and there are plenty of activities for the kiddos as well. Stop by our booth and chat with us or grab some swag and a back issue!

Our final submission period for 2026 is coming to an end! The editors are already hard at work reading through hundreds of fantastic stories and poems, but if you have a piece waiting in the wings, now is the time to send it our way!

The Editors are excited to announce our nomination for the PEN/Robert J. Dau Short Story Prize for Emerging Writers! Gabe Burnham’s incredible debut short story can be found in our forthcoming fall issue. Burnham is a licensed attorney and reformed pianist living in New York City, and we are beyond excited to be the home of what will undoubtedly be the first of many more incredible stories!
