Good Trouble Lives On: Honoring John Lewis with Action in Miami
"We turn legacy into action."

On July 17, the streets of Miami lit up with purpose as Florida Rising and the Black Liberation Alliance Movement (BLAM) came together to honor the legacy of John Lewis — not just with words, but with work.

In this powerful video, hear raw, heartfelt discussion by Florida Rep. Dotie Joseph from District 108 as well as testimonials from community organizers and freedom fighters such as Black Liberation Alliance Movement, Florida Rising and more who were sweeping streets, feeding families, raising voices, and building justice block by block.

From Roots Collective to Good Trouble Blvd, this was more than a tribute — it was a living, breathing movement.

Tragedy at The G.E.O. Group - Marie Ange Blaise Recap

This is our recap coverage of the Voices Beyond Walls event in collaboration with multiple local organizations. Community members, immigrant rights groups, and advocates gathered today outside the Broward County Detention Center to protest the tragic death of Marie Ange Blaise, a Haitian woman who died in ICE custody. Demonstrators held signs, chanted for justice, and demanded accountability from ICE and the U.S. immigration system. Speakers of the local community, organizations, members of local government and Congressional members at the rally, called for an independent investigation, the end of inhumane detention practices, and immediate protections for vulnerable immigrants.
