Exciting News! Join Us for a Sourdough Bread-Making Journey!

I am excited to share a new hands-on learning experience through Building Bridges Through Mindfulness!

Have you ever wanted to learn the art of sourdough bread making? Whether you are completely new to sourdough or looking to build confidence in caring for your starter, this two-part workshop series is a wonderful opportunity to learn, connect, and have fun together.

This special experience will be led by Sarah, who many of you may remember from our March gathering, where she shared her knowledge and passion for gardening, plants, and growing our own food. We are excited to have her guide us through another meaningful hands-on learning experience!

The art of sourdough bread making will be explored through two connected sessions:

Session 1: Sourdough Starter Care Workshop – “Feed the Beast”
August 25, 2026
6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
North Royalton Library Branch, Room 124

During this first session, Sarah will teach us the essentials of caring for a sourdough starter, how to feed and refresh your starter, recognize a healthy culture, troubleshoot common issues, and keep your starter thriving for years to come.

Session 2: From Dough to Loaf
September 22, 2026
‼️More details about this session will be shared soon!

Session 1 is FREE!
Space is limited to 20 participants
All ages are welcome
‼️Registration is required to reserve your spot

To register, please email [email protected]. Your spot is confirmed only after you receive a response.

I am looking forward to learning alongside all of you and sharing another unique experience with our wonderful community! đź’š

As I am flying back home from Poland, I’m reflecting on how quickly life can change.

Just a few days ago, my dad was here. Within 24 hours, he was gone.

There are moments in life that divide our journey into a “before” and an “after,” and losing my dad has been one of those moments for me. No matter how old we are, or how much we understand that life is temporary, nothing truly prepares us for the reality of losing someone you love.

Over the last few days, I’ve been thinking about how easily we get caught up in the busyness of life. We make plans for next month, next year, or someday when life slows down. We assume there will be more time to visit, to call, to sit down and have that conversation we’ve been meaning to have… until suddenly, there isn’t.

My dad’s passing has reminded me that the greatest illusion many of us live under is believing we have more time than we actually do, but time is the one thing none of us are promised.

If there is one lesson I am taking from this heartbreaking loss, it is this: don’t wait. Don’t wait for the perfect time... Reach out, make the call, or have the conversation because one day there will be a last conversation, a last hug, a last family gathering, and most of us won’t know it’s the last one when it happens.

If someone comes to mind as you read this, take it as a sign. Call them today, visit them soon, or tell them what they mean to you.

Life is beautiful and far more fragile than we like to believe, and in the end, it is not the things we own or the goals we achieve that matter most. It is the people we love and the moments we share with them đź’š
