An important point to make is that mold will always exist. It’s simply how nature returns materials to the earth. It’s why our properties don’t have piles of dead materials and vegetation surrounding them! So mold growth is a double edged sword. In some cases beneficial and healthy, others dangerous and unhealthy. Molds basic component is mold spores, and these exist in every environment, both inside and outside. We simply will never eliminate their existence. However, we can create a healthy balance with them by identifying and eliminating an environment where they thrive thus, creating a healthy environment to live and work. We are trained to inspect both the exterior and interior of your property (including site layout and landscaping), identify areas of actual and possible water intrusions (the number one key component of mold growth and contamination), identify areas of actual and possible mold growth, test air quality both inside and outside, offer solutions, and in certain circumstances get you professional remediation estimates and services. Air quality testing involves taking air samples both inside and outside of your property. The outside air sample serves as a baseline/control to compare inside air samples. This allows both of us (Abbey Environmental and you the client) a clear understanding of your indoor air quality and important information for us to evaluate the status of your living and working environment. Any variances in indoor air quality alerts us to a possible unhealthy air quality and is the start of addressing any unhealthy mold spore contaminations
The air quality samples we take are sent to an Independent AIHA EMLAP Accredited Laboratory who send the resultant findings back to us so we can deliver them to you, the client, and quickly begin a conversation on solutions. Should property remediation be necessary, we offer free remediation estimates and remediation services. Remediation will remove, treat and replace contaminated materials and restore your property to healthy pre-loss condition.
