Shreveport, LA โ€“ Three suspects are in custody following a high-speed police chase through the Highland neighborhood that ended in a crash and the recovery of multiple fi****ms.

Shreveport Police were patrolling near Centenary Boulevard and Boulevard Street when they observed a vehicle committing several traffic violations. Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver fled, leading police on a pursuit through residential streets.

The chase ended when the vehicle crashed into a fence in the parking lot of First Baptist Church near Fern Avenue and Gilbert Drive. All three occupantsโ€”Jacob Weaver, Christopher Johns, and a juvenileโ€”fled on foot but were quickly captured by police.

Inside the vehicle, officers discovered multiple fi****ms. Both Weaver and Johns, who are convicted felons, are legally barred from possessing guns.

Weaver, with a lengthy criminal record including convictions for burglary, vehicle theft, and a 2019 guilty plea in an attempted second-degree murder case, now faces several new charges:

Let us be clear: Neither the DMV nor any law enforcement agency in Louisiana sends unsolicited texts like the one in the image attached. These are 100% scams.

That includes texts or messages about:

โ€ข Toll road violations
โ€ข Unpaid tickets
โ€ข Missed jury duty
โ€ข Or any other made-up excuse scammers use to trick you

Do not click any links or call any numbers unless youโ€™re absolutely sure the message is legit. If youโ€™re ever in doubt or have already lost money, contact your local law enforcement agency directly.

Another Stripped Car Dumped In Shreveport: Challenger Found Abandoned Off Murphy Street

Shreveport, La โ€” On Thursday, July 24th morning, Shreveport Police responded to the scene where a Dodge Challenger was found completely stripped and abandoned in the middle of the road off Murphy Street.

This discovery comes just days after a similar incident involving a stolen Dodge Charger that was also found stripped of its parts. The eerie resemblance between both cases has raised concerns of a possible auto theft ring operating in the area.

Authorities are currently investigating the latest incident. No arrests have been made at this time.
