Airing this Sunday, August 10, 2025, State Representative Lindsay Sabadosa joins Occupy the Airwaves hosts Miranda Groux and Bob Gardner to report and share her periodic perspectives on the upcoming legislative session and the assault facing U.S. citizens by the fascistic Trumpian regime. Rep. Sabadosa is the State Representative of the 1st Hampshire District, serving the City of Northampton and the Towns of Chesterfield, Cummington, Goshen, Hatfield, Plainfield, Westhampton, Williamsburg, and Worthington. She holds her Doctorate in Law and Policy from Northeastern University, her MSc from the University of Edinburgh, and her AB from Wellesley College. A long-term champion of equitable healthcare, reproductive justice, and accessible transportation, she has worked to expand access to care, strengthen transportation infrastructure, and advance policies that promote the well-being of all residents of the Commonwealth.
Given the turbulence accompanying the incoming Trump administration, the Representative highlighted a number of areas the State of Massachusetts can address that could confront the federal regressive policies, including looking at the embargo of taxes withheld from state employees. Other counter-measures being looked related to the shredding of the safety net are state replacement funding of critical benefit programs.
