Sometimes the story takes forever.

The details are all out of order.
I’m trying to make dinner, answer a message, or finish one more thing.

And they just keep talking. ❤️

I’m reminding myself that the little things they can’t wait to tell me today are building the habit of coming to me tomorrow.

I won’t listen perfectly every time.

But I pray my children grow up knowing their voice has always mattered here. 🤍✨

One of the things I pray most is that my children are kind when no one is reminding them to be.

Lord, teach my children to notice the person who feels left out.
To make room instead of trying to fit in.
To speak gently when they could get a laugh at someone else’s expense.
To help without needing credit.
To apologize when they’re wrong.
And to choose kindness even when no one is watching.

I know I won’t be there for every conversation, every friendship, or every choice they make.

So, Lord, keep shaping their hearts in the moments I’ll never see.

May kindness become more than something they were taught.

May it become part of who they are. 🙏🏼🤍

Some of the most important things our children learn about faith won’t come from a lesson.

They’ll come from watching us.

Watching us pray when we don’t know what to do.
Watching us thank God for ordinary things.
Watching us ask for forgiveness when we get it wrong.
Watching us keep trusting Him through seasons that don’t make sense.

We don’t have to model a perfect faith for our children.

Just a real one. 🤍✨

I pray my boys learn that they don’t have to have the right words to talk to God. 🤍

Lord, teach my children to come to You in every kind of moment, not only when they need something, but when they’re excited, confused, thankful, disappointed, or simply going about their day.

May prayer become familiar to them. May they know they can speak honestly with You, sit quietly with You, and bring You the things they don’t know how to explain to anyone else.

More than knowing about You, I pray they grow up knowing You personally.

Amen. 🙏🏼🤍

I hope my children never feel like they have to outgrow the things that make them light up.

The belly laughs.
The made-up games.
The ridiculous jokes.
The excitement over something I barely noticed.

Lord, help me leave room for joy in our home.

Not every moment needs to be productive, picture-perfect, or even make sense to me.

Sometimes childhood just needs space to be fun. 🤍✨

A little Saturday blessing:

May there be more laughter than hurry, more togetherness than distraction, and a little room today for simply enjoying the people God gave you. ❤️
