Congratulation to Emad Bonakdar - The Album “Eastern Constellation” by “Emad Bonakdar” released by X DOT 25 Music is available worldwide on all digital platforms.

Eastern Constellation is a fusion of Jazz, Flamenco, Indian and Persian music, “Eastern Constellation” is a journey through the Eastern lands where it meets the Western harmonies. It combines Persian style drum instruments, Daf and Bandir, with the suspended chords of Flamenco Guitar and other instruments. It is also inspired by the Arabic rhythms and melodies and includes soaring vocals in Dastgah-e Homayoun, which all are influential in the Flamenco music. Eastern Constellation includes hints and short references to various rhythms and melodies from different provinces of Iran especially Khorasan, combined with a Flamenco music base.

Composer, Multi-Instrumentalist and Performer, Emad began learning guitar at a very young age. Initially, he started his training in Jazz and Pop. It took Emad twenty years and a lot of soul searching before he found his place in Flamenco Music, a style that touched his heart and allowed him to express his deep emotions and passion in a way that no other genre of music could.

Haunted By Waters is a group of bay area musicians and artists who have created an exciting and powerful blend of music which is truly -cross cultural. Fusing together sensual Middle Eastern melodies, Celtic vocals, driving rhythms, & soaring synth sounds, “Like the Dust” is a unique album which celebrates spirit, unity and diversity.

The music of Haunted By Waters is built on a primal and infectious rhythmic background of Middle Eastern, African, and Celtic rhythms and percussion. Weaving in lush vocals, rich melodies and harmonies, and sensuous electronic textures, they create a progressive, entrancing world sound. Add fretless electric bass, textural and distorted electric guitars, acoustic guitar, synth and sampled sounds, as well as didgeridoo, tin whistle, conch shell, electric violin, and flute and you have a powerful, evocative sound. At once ancient and futuristic, Haunted By Waters seamlessly combine a galaxy of diverse influences and instrumentation into a cohesive and moving soundscape.

He stands out not only because of his brilliant realizations of traditional Persian compositions, but also for his innovative avant-garde soundscapes. He is not only a builder of Persian instruments but also a virtuoso in performing Persian traditional music. His style, however, is not limited to the traditional approaches but it extends itself beyond any such boundaries. He applies his own touch to the music that he performs, a touch which he has developed after experiencing the new trend of music, not only in his native land of Iran, but in the world, at these final days of this century.

Just Released: Self Titled Album, Samsara’s Edge - Inner and outer worlds collide in the intriguing debut album from Samsara’s Edge. A collaboration between multi-instrumentalist David Hannibal & Irish vocalist Cait McWhir, co-founders of the legendary Bay Area band Haunted by Waters.

A strong electronic-ambient flavor drives this multi-textured and eclectic collection of tracks. Cait’s other-worldly and globally influenced vocals add a hypnotic feel to the work alongside David’s psychedelically edgy guitar. Guest artist and Oakland poet, the late Juan Domingo, rounds it all out with a couple of trip-hop flavored spoken word pieces.
