This week students in Loudoun and Fairfax County school districts faced some difficult choices... to comply with the school's mask mandates, or face punitive actions. On this episode of NOVANOW.TV Sam Ettaro is joined by a group of parents and students from Loudoun County and to report on what they experienced last week and their thoughts on the announcement that students returning to school on February 2nd will face suspension for non-compliance. Following this segment, Ettaro is joined by two parents from Fairfax County who report on happenings in this district and offer responses to citizen comment at the recent FCPS board meeting.
This is what happens when the Democratic power structure pushes too far... In this episode of Education Matters Dr. Harry Jackson digs even deeper into the ongoing scandal surrounding the PTSA at the Thomas Jefferson School For Science and Technology, an elite magnet school in Fairfax County, VA, and their purported collusion in ousting him as President and now taking retaliatory action against a mother who does not support their "woke" agenda. Join Dr. Jackson and his guests Norma Margulies and "Education Matters" Analyst Brian Davison for this bombshell report, and their plea to voters to vote Youngkin.
In this episode of NOVANOW.TV, Ettaro meets with concerned Loudoun County parent, Clint Thomas, to learn more about the Virginia School Screening Testing for Assurance program that is starting in Loudoun County this month. Reports are that this program has also been announced for Fairfax County Public Schools and while we touch on that, we mainly focus on Loudoun in this show. Clint brings up many points of concern and we dig through the "playbook" as we touch on some of his concerns including... VSSTA program - "Virginia School Screening Testing for Assurance" program -11/29 delayed effective date -discriminates in testing only the unvaccinated staff and student-athletes -medical privacy not considered -uses a pooled testing approach which is dehumanizing -no control over content or frequency of the pool once consenting into the program -must consent or be fired or pulled from sports -must re-test in 24 hrs if pooled sample comes back positive -if one person in the pool doesn't re-test in 24 hrs, the entire pool is deemed COVID positive -program is a state grant and directed toward all students likely Fall 2022 -LCPS will have to hire additional nurse and related staff -this $2B educational enterprise shouldn't be getting into the testing business when it's plagued with sexual assault cover-ups and can't even cover its classroom well
