I've been writing professionally for decades, and still, every new byline brings me joy! I have a story in the summer issue of PieceWork magazine about the use of indigo in early American crewel design.

Another happy day demonstrating crewel embroidery at the Woodlawn Needlework Show. The show is open 10 more days before closing for the year. Well worth the jaunt out to Woodlawn to see more than 600 pieces of needle art up close.

It’s a multi-generational, patriotic family affair! Youngest daughter and I, as well as MIL and aunt have all submitted blocks to be included in the Great American Birthday Quilt. The quilt will go on display in Colonial Williamsburg in April and remain throughout the !

I had two entries this year…this Arts and Crafts design and my Mouse and Bauble ornament, which I’ll have you know, took second place in its category! Huzzah!
