I’m heartbroken to say that we’ve been told our little slice of paradise, which we’ve called home for the past four years, didn’t survive the fire. I’ve never lived in a more magical place and I’m so grateful for the opportunity and all the memories we made here with friends—especially at the pool—that we will have with us forever.

It’s absolutely surreal that this happened almost exactly 3 years after Nick’s parents lost their house in the 2017 fires. But if we learned anything from that it’s that things are just things and you can get through anything with friends and family by your side—and boy are we rich with friends and family.

We’re feeling lucky to be safe with Sadie and to have gotten many of our most cherished possessions out. I’m devastated for our wine country communities that can’t seem to catch a break. Please buy wine and come visit when it’s safe. I’ve included a photo here with additional ways to help. Thank you to everyone who has checked in. It truly means the world. ❤️❤️

Update! Despite IG showing our attempts to make the best of our situation, we have been working hard to get home and unfortunately, our efforts keep getting thwarted. Airlines are cancelling flights at rapid rates, borders are closing, and I was turned around today at the airport, told I couldn’t get on my flight because I had traveled through Germany on my way here (and Instanbul, my connection, wouldn’t allow me in). Our options at this point are very limited—and expensive—so we’re mulling them over with this absolutely delicious Sauvignon Blanc from Eight Rows, and preparing to potentially be here for an undetermined amount of time. Thank you so much for all of the texts and messages of concern. We love you all and hope you’re staying healthy and sane during this insanity. Hopefully we can join you in self isolation soon.

Took a trip through my camera roll to send some love to the amazing women in my life on , but I really do celebrate these friendships every day. I’m so lucky to be surrounded by kind and ambitious and strong and beautiful and badass and intelligent women, who constantly lift me up and inspire me to be a better version of myself.
