This is different from just listening the word.
It involves acting on teachings and make them practical, by giving, caring for the need, staying away from sinning, controlling our words and avoiding any other foolish actions
This means living righteously.

*How good it is to give thanks to you O Lord,*
*to sing in your honour, O Most high God, to proclaim your constant love every morning and your faithfulness every night*
(Psalms 92: 1-2 GNE)

There is nothing more that pleases God than to honour him regularly, praising him and acknowledging that he is God.
Thank God daily for what he has done for you.
Thank him for his deep love for you.
Thank him for his protection over you.
Thank him for fighting spiritual battles for you.
Thank him for giving you children.

Do you know that it is more beneficial to express his loving kindness in the morning and his faithfulness in the evening?
God requires your prayers to be regular, joyful and expression of gratitude to Him, whether in public or in private.
