Safety awareness is a huge concern for autism parents but when we discovered this parking lot, we realized we had the perfect opportunity to practice crosswalk safety.

Invisible disabilities won’t stop us from giving him all the important childhood experiences. He deserves to have fun and if we have to make adjustments to make that happen we will.

Today is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, and I want to take a moment to honor one of the strongest people I know — my son.

What many don’t see is his invisible fight.
Behind his smile, his laughter, and his unique way of experiencing the world, he carries battles most adults will never face: congenital heart disease, autism, ADHD, and global developmental delay.

Yet every single day, he shows up with courage.
He learns, grows, adapts, and pushes forward — even when the world isn’t built with his challenges in mind.
He doesn’t just fight… he thrives, in his own beautiful way.

Today isn’t just about awareness — it’s about visibility, dignity, and understanding.
It’s about recognizing that disabilities aren’t always seen… but they are always valid.
And it’s about celebrating the strength and spirit of those who navigate life with a little more weight on their shoulders but so much light in their hearts.

To my son:
You are my reminder that resilience can be quiet.
That bravery can be unseen.
And that every milestone — big or small — is worth celebrating.

You are powerful. You are capable. You are wonderfully you.
And today, I honor your journey — every challenge, every victory, every step.

Happy International Day of Persons with Disabilities ❤️

Getting some fresh air and some steps in is so beneficial for all of our minds so let’s go for a family walk!

I wanted to share something personal but I promise to not post this often.

After everything with my son—his heart challenges, constant specialist visits, and navigating autism—I stopped taking care of myself. The stress led to weight gain, and even when I tried, I couldn’t lose it. For over a year I stayed mindful of my nutrition and worked to lower my triglycerides, but nothing budged. I started worrying about my own heart and about being here for him.

So I made a choice not everyone agrees with: I turned to GLP-1. It truly felt like my last resort, and it’s been helping. Our bodies naturally produce GLP-1, and sometimes they just… don’t produce enough. Whether you agree with it or not, I hope you can support the reality that mental health is a serious struggle—and this has been part of my healing.

I’ve shared my full journey on TikTok over the last six months. I won’t go into all the details here, so if you’d like to follow along, please do.

I’m also excited to share that I’m partnering with a Women’s Health company that gives back to women with every purchase. I’m proud to be an affiliate and support anyone who needs a little extra help. We all deserve to feel healthy.

I promise not to flood your feed, so head over to TikTok if you want to support me. 🥰
I will share the link in my bio for anyone who wants to get more info.
