Meet the Safety Geek
I am an experienced workplace safety professional who specializes in training and coaching up and coming Safety Managers, just like you. You know that effective safety management does not stop at compliance with regulations; it is so much more than programs and training. I can help you address the behaviors of workers, the psychology behind those behaviors, and integrate safety into all parts of the organization.
With nearly 20 years of safety management experience touching over 15 different industries, I know what it is like. To be a manager with no real authority, the fear of being there “just for show”, and to have other managers argue against everything you say. I am hear to tell you, that you are the MOST IMPORTANT department in your company. Let me help you find your voice.
Building a safety culture is done through improved management support and commitment along with employee involvement. When you have a strong commitment to safety, the results ripple out to all areas on the business, improving the overall operations and bottom line.
Safety is a profit center, not an expense. It is important to effectively collaborate with the leadership team, to understand the compromise between safety & operations, and how express that a focus on workplace safety is critical to surpass organizational goals. My experience as a trainer of over 100 safety managers throughout the United States has shown me that the consistent element missing in most programs is an understanding of the 'how-to' of management support and an understanding of the impact of safety on all areas of the business. If you agree, let me show you my method for fixing that.
My program focuses on building Safety Leaders, not just managers. You can learn more at www.TheSafetyGeek.com.
