When buyers are looking for their dream home, they often get laser focused on looking for the things they want – certain amenities, landscape, surfaces, etc.

However, there are also things buyers shouldn't ignore when they are looking at homes online or in-person – things professionals call "real estate red flags."

🚩 When there aren't many photos or low-resolution photos. Proud home-sellers who are using a reputable agent will share more photos than you might ever care to see. They want you to see every room, every detail. Otherwise, the seller may be hiding something or using out-dated photos to mislead buyers.

🚩 Standing water in the yard (and it's not raining). This can be a sign of poor drainage or grade, which can lead to all sorts of water issues.

🚩 Saggy ceilings/floors. Even slightly, this can be a symptom of roof leaks, some infestation or ground movement.

🚩 Water stains. Even a "trickle"can reek havoc on a home, over time. Stains are signs of something (typically) much bigger than the stain itself.

🚩 "Additions" to the home. Additions can be a great perk IF they were done by a professional who pulled permits and did the job to code. Just because "someone: added a room, doesn't mean it won't lead to BIG or costly problems down the road.

Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine 🌀 is expected to organize and strengthen moving into the Gulf of Mexico by Wednesday. Earliest impacts with the system are expected to be Wednesday Night as it nears our area.

Primary threats at this time will be strong to possibly damaging winds💨, life threatening rip currents, and dangerous small craft conditions. Heavy rainfall 🌧️ and isolated tornadoes 🌪️ are also a potential hazards.

⚠️Continue to stay up to date with the latest advisories and forecast at hurricanes.gov
