One more day to go until it’s an official wrap 🎬

In a time of uncertainty in the entertainment industry, this weekend has given me renewed hope and inspiration for filmmakers. The desire to create and tell stories will always persevere 🔥

I saw some amazing films, just a few of the 90+ films screened at this year, and am overwhelmed by the stories told and the impact that storytelling through film has. THIS is why I chose to be an entertainment attorney - to play a role in this legendary art form with purpose🌟

And now… on with the show 🎥

This reminds me of the .com bubble when new online companies were offering crazy low prices.

If loses then companies will have to start licensing content which will jack up prices for the everyday user. No more freebies or low prices.

The rate at which AI is being used and the amount of energy necessary isn’t sustainable not to mention blatant of and

The courts will decide. Meanwhile has already started their own AI policy which is creator friendly, a sign that companies are starting to police themselves as these issues ahead of the courts.

New Podcast Alert 🔔
State of the Industry for 2025 and Beyond

I’m excited to start Season 2 off, but unfortunately doing so on a somber note. In this solocast episode, I talk about the significant impacts of the catastrophic fires on the entertainment industry.

I also project a consolidation at the top as major studios merge, while opportunities grow for independent filmmakers through new distribution models, along with the bifurcation between AI-driven and human-centric storytelling. Subsidiary rights in gaming, merchandising, and live experiences, along with the legal ramifications of generative AI are also discussed.
