Hey guys, I just gotta stop for a minute to brag about this young man. Sometime back in February, I met Markis Houston at the Tour Rodeo in Hollywood during the morning kids rodeo. With some small talk, he shared with me his interest in learning how to announce. So, between events and kids getting ready, I took the time to walk him through what our job consisted of, and by the end of the night, he had an opportunity to show what he's capable of. I knew this kid from Pembroke Pines, Florida, has a gift for public speaking that most 18-year-olds don't have today. I tip my hat off to him for being bold and taking a step like that. Fast forward to September, Markis is attending Livingstone College in North Carolina with dreams of becoming a preacher. Tonight, I was able to watch a livestream of his first college volleyball game, calling the shots on his own, and he handled it like he's been working at it for years. I just wanted to say I'm proud of ya and proud for ya! Keep up the good work. No matter how busy you are in the moment, always make time to talk to people; you never know whose life can change.
