**TEAM UPDATE**
It is with deep sadness but also in celebration of life to say that my dad, Michael McHone, passed away peacefully in late June, after a long and hard-fought battle. The country roads called and have taken him home.
He was a great, loving, and strong man, who taught me many things. One of the most significant qualities he possessed, and one I've always loved, was his ability to be truly genuine. One could always count on experiencing pure, unadulterated, Michael whenever engaging with him. He never wavered.
The loss is profound but fortunately, he is no longer bound by a broken body and is finally experiencing a painless peace.
He adored everyone he met throughout his life, his family, his friends, his fellow church goers, and everyone throughout the storm chasing community. Thank you all for being such an amazing part of his life, he appreciated you all, more than you all know.
I feel honored to have been able to experience life, amazing places, and countless adventures with him throughout my life.
You are and will forever be deeply missed and loved by all, Dad. Thank you for making the world a better place. Thank you for teaching me to appriciate experiences above all else. Thank you for showing me that the small things often mean more than the big. It's not about the destination, but the journey we take along the way.
You'll always be my original storm chasing partner in crime. Rest in peace and fly high. We will meet again, but this time on the other side.
It will be time, for me to read the final chapter of My Side of The Mountain to you, soon.
Thank you for being you. Forever and always.
I love you, Dad. Keep the Cheerwine flowing and the Arby's coming!
