#SEVERE #STORM #RISK #FOR #OKLAHOMA #TODAY #AND #TONIGHT!

The potential for developing severe thunderstorms has bigger potential today for Oklahoma. Yesterday the dryline was out in far western Oklahoma and there were a few supercell storms that developed that produced a tornado and very large hail. For central Oklahoma there was a cap in the atmosphere that prevented severe storms from developing.
Today is a different story. The cap has eroded away and storms are now free to develop today and tonight for central Oklahoma. Triggering mechanisms like the dryline and a cold front and covergence and instability will create an atmosphere conducive for developing severe storms in the form of s few supercells and a dangerous line of storms. So be prepared for storms producing up to tennis ball size hail, damaging winds up to 65 mph and a few tornadoes. I will keep you updated.

#SEVERE #WEATHER #THREATENS #OKLAHOMA #AND #PORTIONS #OF #THE #US #TUESDAY #AFTERNOON!

The threat for a few big supercell severe storms will be possible on Tuesday for Oklahoma and for the areas of the US as well from Texas all the way up into Missouri and Arkansas. These storms that develop will have the potential to produce large destructive hail up to the size of Baseballs, destructive winds from 65-80 mph and tornadoes up to EF3 Strength. A very strong and potent storm system will move into Oklahoma and these other areas on Tuesday. Very strong uplift with the Convective Available Potential Energy in the atmosphere reaching 3,000 to 4,000 j/kg in the atmosphere along with strong shear and bulk energy will produce an environment that is capable of producing huge storms. The good news is that these storms will be isolated, but if you are up under these storms you will be in danger for severe weather. I will keep you updated.

#WINTER #STORM #WATCHES OUT NOW FOR SOUTHCENTRAL PLAINS INTO OHIO RIVER VALLEY.

Winter Storm Watches have now been issued for Portions of Oklahoma, up to Missouri and the Ohio River Valley including the Great Lakes States. A winter storm watch means that severe winter weather conditions including heavy snow. could be expected in the next 48 hours or so. I have outlined the states including Oklahoma that are in the winter storm watch areas. Be safe out there.

#SNOW #TOTALS #DECREASED #SOME #FOR #OKLAHOMA #AS #MORE #SLEET #IS #EXPECTED #ON #FEBRUARY 3, 2022.

I have downgraded the amount of snow that Oklahoma could get, but nevertheless, this storm is going to be a big winter storm system. I do believe that the sleet totals will cut into the snow totals at this point. As I result instead of central Oklahoma getting 5-8 inches of snow or 9-12 inches of snow, central Oklahoma could get 4-6 inches of snow. But just think, that is still a significant amount of snow headed for the state. On top of that winter storm watches are now being issued for this storm because confidence is increasing as to what this storm is going to do. So this will be a major winter storm for the state. Look for road closures, power outages, and schools possibly closing because of the ice and snow. Here is what I expect in sleet and snow totals right now for Oklahoma.

A very strong intense and major winter storm will affect areas of the Ohio River Valley States and the Mid-West and Great Lakes Regions on February 3-4th, 2022. I have upped the snow totals and some areas could receive 23 inches or more of snow in the duration of the storm on that day or those days. The only uncertainty is that this storm could drop more freezing rain or sleet and how long that change over to snow occurs will determine the snow amounts for these areas. If the changeover to snow happens quicker, we could see the snow totals I have been talking about. If the changeover to snow is a lot slower, then we could see more freezing rain and sleet in these areas and that would cut into the snowfall accumulation totals, in which there could be less snow as originally anticipated. This could be a potentially life-threatening situation type storm, so I want you to stay updated as there is more confidence that this storm could be major. I will keep you updated

#SNOW #STORM FOR FEBRUARY 3, 2022, TRENDING TO MORE SNOW THAN LESS SNOW!

A huge snowstorm or winter storm appears to look more and more likely for areas of the US on February 3, 2022. Confidence is increasing more so that this storm will produce very heavy amounts of snow and could potentially even become a BOMB Cyclone as energy is transferred from one storm into another storm system. What that means is more snow than expected for areas of the Rockies to Oklahoma and Texas, to Missouri, to the Ohio River Valley States into the Great Lakes States and Northeast as well. These areas up north could receive up to 20 inches or more of snow if the prediction that I have between models is correct. Areas down toward Missouri and Oklahoma/Texas could receive 2-8 inches of snow or more! This would make this storm a powerful winter storm as there will be 2 waves of this storm congealing into one big winter storm system. This is not edged in stone, but looks more and more likely as this storm gets closer to the US. I will keep you updated!

Temperatures are going to warm up for the center of the Nation and western areas on Saturday. Some places will read 70 degrees in some spots. These temperatures will abruptly come to an end, as strong cold arctic air surges in behind a strong cold front and storm system that will bomb out. Here are the warm temperatures I expect tomorrow below on the map for the US.

#HEAVY #SNOW, #FREEZING #RAIN #AND #STORMS #IN #STORE #FOR #OHIO #RIVER #VALLEY #AND #GREAT #LAKES #FEBRUARY 3, 2022

A Powerful storm system will dig into southern Texas and have over running precipitation in the form of snow, and freezing rain as well as rain for areas of Texas into Oklahoma, the Ohio River Valley and the Great Lakes and Northeast regions. This powerful storm system will have 2 waves of energy that will deeply dig into Texas and move northeast. I have total snow accumulation amounts for the Ohio River Valley, The Great Lakes Region and the Northeast as well. I also have ice accumulation totals for freezing rain in these areas as well as we could be looking at a major ice storm on top of a major snowstorm as well. I will keep you updated on the weather situation. Be alert and stay tuned as weather conditions will change from time to time with this storm system.

#OKLAHOMA #COULD #SEE #A #MAJOR #WINTER #STORM #AROUND #FEBRUARY 3, 2022

A major winter storm system could be affecting Oklahoma on February 2 or February 3, 2022. The models are flipping all over the place so we may not get much precipitation in the form of snow or sleet or freezing rain. That's not to say that we will not get this precipitation, but the timing of the precipitation is what is the issue is right now with the computer models. If the computer models verify precipitation and the amounts of precipitation, I have a map below showing you what we could be seeing in terms of snow across the state. This will also depend on how much sleet or freezing rain or rain we initially get before it changes over to snow. If there is more sleet and freezing rain to begin with first, then we will get less snow than I am expecting. If not this is what could happen below on the map. This is not edged in stone so I will keep you updated.

#SNOW #ACCUMULATION #FORECAST #FOR #THE #NEXT #BIG #STORM #ON #FEBRUARY 3, 2022.

Snow will be intense across the country look like as more confidence is increasing that snow will blanket a large portion of the country by February 3rd, 2022. From the Rockies to the central US down into Oklahoma and Texas, up into Arkansas and the Great Lake States, snow some heavy at times is expected with this next storm system. Snow accumulations from 1 to 3 inches, to 2 to 4 inches, to 5 to 8 inches, to 9-12 inches and from 13-18 inches are the snow amounts expected with this next strong upper-level storm system expected to bomb into a major snow cyclone. Here are the snow amounts I expect across the country right now, but this may change it's not edged in stone. I will keep you updated!

Next week is shaping up to be a very busy week in terms of the weather for areas of the US. Multiple storm systems appear to be showing up on the Weather computer models. I have created maps below to show you what I expect right now from each storm system and I have each day for each storm system on each map and what can be expected as of today. These maps are not edged in stone, but keep these maps in mind as they move through the country next week. These storm systems appear to be Major Winter Storms that will affect areas of America next week. I will keep you updated!

#MAJOR #NOR'#EASTER #WINTER #STORM #BREWING #FOR #THE #CAROLINAS #UP #TO #THE #NORTHEAST #STATES.

A Bomb Cyclone is brewing for areas of the Carolinas, up to the Mid-Atlantic, Up to the Northeast States for this weekend. Very strong winds, very heavy snow and very cold air will accompany this winter storm system as it moves up the coast and becomes a Major Nor'easter Winter Storm on Sunday. I expect 20 plus inches of snow in the Boston Massachusetts area. I expect 5-8 inches of snow in the New York City, Queens Metro Area all the way down into the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern North Carolina into Southeast and Eastern Virginia. Travel will be heavily disrupted in these areas and power outages are likely due to very heavy snow and blizzard like conditions with the strong winds coupled with the very heavy snow. Be safe out there and I will keep you updated on the latest weather information.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow is still out for portions of southwest Oklahoma this evening. Snow accumulations of 1-3 inches are likely from southwest Oklahoma into the Oklahoma City Metro Area Wednesday into Thursday. A wave of storm energy will create lift in the atmosphere, giving rise to snow showers across the area. Snow will accumulate 1-3 inches in the area. I will keep you updated.

Winds and fire threat are high in Oklahoma today!
Hey y'all 👋 how y'all doin' ??i reckon here in southeast Texas winter is about over. Spring will be here feb. 1 st
A secondary impulse expected to arrive Wednesday night into Thursday morning with not as much upslope enhancement but with much colder air aloft. We`ll see increased shower coverage with much lower snow levels, dropping rapidly Wednesday night to around 3000` and locally to around 2500`. It`s during this period when we expect the biggest impacts to travel through the mountains as accumulating snowfall is expected over the major passes and mountain roads in LA/Ventura Counties. Air mass is a little more unstable during this time as well so chances for convection are higher, though still pretty marginal so thunderstorms should be isolated at most. With the lower freezing levels expect we`ll get lots of graupel or small hail reports at lower elevations during this time with or without thunderstorms.
