Heavy rain looks to be on the increase through next week! The totals are probably exaggerated but it’s been consistent with two areas receiving plentiful rainfall while leaving parts still on the drier side.

What an absolutely BEAUTIFUL day it was in the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge in Southwest to have the big volunteer clean up event for National Public Lands Day!

Em and I love the Wichita Mountains so every year for the last few years we partake in it and it seems that the event keeps getting bigger with volunteers!

But we also want to give a GIANT thank you to everyone who organizes and works the event to keep everything running as smooth as possible.

Good morning, Oklahoma! Happy National Public Lands Day! 🐻

I heard a rumor that we are, in fact, done with 100F . Now, this doesn’t rule out the and drought, but it does provide relief from it.

The Gracemont Fire had one of the more intense smoke columns I’ve seen recently in and that’s mostly due to it burning extremely hot in very heavy timber!

Hopefully, next week the ongoing Category 5 hurricane Polo can bring heavy rains to the drought stricken Panhandle and Western Oklahoma.

With the Gracemont still sitting at 99% containment at 2,692 acres this will be the last post from us about it (unless something changes).
