Back when I worked at The Art of Music, my coworker burned me a copy of Born This Way. 💿💿 He wrote the title by hand on the cd like us elder millennials used to do it. I just know he’s out there rn jamming to Mayhem. We spent our workdays playing artsy docs and babysitting memorabilia, not a bad gig for an 18 yr old music fanatic. Funny how certain albums/artists keep us connected to ppl, even long after we’ve lost touch.

Body poppin at Odds last week w all the g**z had me gleamin for dayz. We’re running it back tmrw night for a scary good time at the annual BODY HORROR 😈👹
Pride always stirs up waves of nostalgia. I find myself reflecting the loves come and gone and friends that have stood by me to become chosen fam, and on my own terms. There’s something uniquely dynamic about q***r love.. it’s layered beautifully, messy and challenges boundaries. We thrive in the spaces society doesn’t always create for us and we make those spaces ourselves.
I’m flooded w gratitude for the connections that shape me along w every heartache, reunion and chance encounters under mirror balls. 🪩✨

Thinking about my sweet Nana Candy. “We’ve always been close haven’t we?” she said to me about this time last year. She had been mortified she thought she forgot my birthday but I let her know it was a few days away. She helped name me, and always gave me three very smoochy kisses. My wiiiife thinks I don't celebrate wins enough, this checks out bc I spend way too much energy being hard on myself... 5 yrs of Bodyworm (lol should that be a theme? 🪱) feels like a win and we're gna celebrate a milestone dammit! ✨Appreciations, flowers, hugs for all the heartfelt mems we've made together thus far, even the sloppy ones where I'm crying at the end of the night.
