These chairs are giving: 🚨🥵🔥🤤

We chose one of my dead stock vintage tweeds to reupholster this mid century modern dining set & what a perfect match 🤝

I changed out the old foam for a new combination of foam and cotton.

The concept of these woven chairs is so FREAKING cool but the way companies are mass producing them is fast, weak, and faulty.
To reupholster these in a way that strengthens them I reinforced each vinyl piece with nylon strapping and top stitched them in place. This will help hold weight when they are sat on so the vinyl doesn’t stretch or break over time.

I also just really like the way the topstitching elevates this project. ✨

Custom upholstery isn’t cheap but it’s better to get a piece you already love redone correctly than spending more money time and time again replacing your furniture with more fast, mass produced crap. Plus, you keep your money local! 👼

I love seeing my projects in the homes of my clients. Seeing them being used & being enjoyed. Creating functional art that my clients get to use in their daily lives gives me a feeling like no other. I imagine the conversations that get to be had while getting comfy on my projects, the books that are read or the tears that might be cried.

OPENING NIGHT TONIGHT!

I’m thrilled to invite you to a truly special show curated by my friends and 💛

Join us at to experience “NEXT,” an impactful exhibit featuring talented contemporary artists under 35. Their work boldly challenges traditional mediums to explore themes of identity, resilience, and transformation in our rapidly changing world.

I’ll be showcasing my “Your Pillow, Your Choice” pillows, created as a personal protest for female autonomy. Since the inception of the first va**na pillow, the importance of this message has only grown. These pillows open up vital conversations about women’s rights, sexual health, and equality, and I believe passionately in a women’s right to choose what’s right for herself.

I’m looking forward to a new year together filled with upholstery projects, art shows, pillows, cushions, and whatever else we can dream up!
I’m lucky to have this big, dusty yet inspiring warehouse to create in & even more fortunate to have clients that feel like family. If we haven’t had the chance to collaborate yet, I truly look forward to it!

2024 ended with heartbreak and tragedy in my personal life & I’m thankful for those of you who have been flexible and shown me so much love & grace.

Here’s to making magic in 2025 ✨
