Freezies,
Lots of changes and updates for you all!
Bad news first: A while ago, we solicited poems for an online anthology based on The Office, and regrettably, we are tabling that project. It may re-emerge in another form down the road. Thank you to all who submitted, and feel free to spread the gospel of Dunder Mifflin far and wide to other publications!
Friends, we are beyond grateful for every one of our readers and contributors who have been so generous with their time and talent, and also over the moon about every editor over the years who helped shape FreezeRay Poetry into the pop culture poem spot it's become. We have had an amazing 22 issue run online, with a number of e-book extras attached to our mostly quarterly output. And so many amazing nerd poems! Which leads us to the following:
1. We are in the process of assembling a print collection of THE BEST OF FREEZERAY POETRY 2014-2022, thanks to the generosity of Eric Morago and Moon Tide Press! More info will be available as we get our ducks in a row but we have talked about the release being concurrent with AWP in February 2024. Moon Tide has a rich history of anthologies like DARK INK, BEAT NOT BEAT and SH*T MEN SAY, and we're super psyched to add our collection to their catalog!
2. FreezeRay will be changing formats after the release of the Best of anthology; we are staying under the Moon Tide banner and we will become a physical literary journal, going to print two times a year. The past issues will remain archived online (and we will continue to work on ways to index them) for as long as we keep the lights on. We will update the details on FreezeRay V2 as we put the remaining pieces in place.
Very much looking forward to serving up all this nerdy goodness to you soon. Thank you again for making this all possible, and as we always say in the FreezeRay office...
Onward!
