🚨 HURRICANE HISTORY 🚨
‼️ ON THIS DAY ‼️

8 years ago today, Hurricane Harvey made landfall as a strong Category 4 major hurricane, and would stall over the southeast Texas area, inflicting $125 billion (2017 USD) in damage, primarily from catastrophic rainfall-triggered flooding in Houstonand souteast Texas. This made the storm the costliest natural disaster recorded in Texas at the time. It was the first major hurricane to make landfall in the United States since Wilma in 2005, ending a record 12-year span in which no hurricanes made landfall at the intensity of a major hurricane throughout the country. Harvey would lead to the death of 107 people and for the name Harvey to be retired by the weather service as names for Atlantic storms.

🌀 MAJOR HURRICANE ERIN 🌀

HURRICANE ERIN is a major hurricane currently churning in the Atlantic undergoing RAPID INTENSIFICATION. We have witnessed a 30mb drop in pressure in 4 hrs and its currently down to 922mb!!! We expect Erin to become a CATEGORY 5 SHORTLY!!!!!

We also are awaiting the predicted turn, the further it gets westward without making one, the likelihood of an impact on the Caribbean and eastern seaboard (not expected currently, but again. We cant rule it out)

A Tsunami Watch has been issued for the entire West Coast of the U.S. as well as Hawaii after a massive 8.8 magnitude earthquake struck near Russia. This was a MASSIVE EARTHQUAKE folks. If on the western coast, Alaskan Coast or Hawaii you should move to high ground!!!
