Prayer Update🙏🏻
We had an outreach at the OKC bus station and courthouse last week. The Lord blessed it with fruitful conversations and provided opportunities for the Word to be preached and shared through conversations and literature. We met a young couple, Tia & Juan, who are struggling in life with their families and mentioned they do not have a strong view on the Christian faith. We also met Juanes, aka “bald headed”, who shared his faith and is trusting in Jesus. We had a great conversation regarding our need for Jesus and what He has done for us. We also met a woman named Amy who had a wonderful testimony of the worldly life God pulled her out of. It was great to hear her testimony of God’s faithfulness in her life.
While reaching out in Bricktown, we spoke with a group of young folks who were mostly catholic leaning. One lady was aware of the differences in Catholicism and Christianity. We took the opportunity to explain that salvation is only found in Christ and discussed the false teachings of confession and “being a good person” in Catholicism. We had the chance to speak to another group of young folks, Jim, his girlfriend, and his girlfriend’s friend, who had no faith or hope in life or death. They believed there is nothing after death. As we spoke with them, they were not open to considering Christ or what His death meant for us. One of the ladies did take a gospel card and said she would read it. Many conversations happened that night as we were part of a large group reaching out to people. We’re so thankful for the teams we get to be a part of as we take the gospel to different areas of OKC!
Please pray for Tia, Juan, Juanes, Amy, Jim, Jim’s girlfriend, Jim’s girlfriend’s friend, and others who heard the gospel.
