The album debuted at #58 on the US Billboard 200 and peaked at #3, reaching #1 in the R&B charts. It also produced two top-5 singles in the US Billboard Hot 100.

Just curious as to your thoughts on the Kendrick Lamar halftime show. As a lifelong fan of hip hop, personally, I was disappointed. While I see the statement being made and the clever ambiguity involved in the show, I just don’t think the music was good enough or relatable enough to a wide audience. I like some of Kendrick Lamar’s songs, but I think there were better options, Lil Wayne being the obvious one because he is from New Orleans.

He is the direct subject of Falco’s 1985 hit “Rock Me Amadeus” which is also alluded to in Eminem’s 2024 hit “Houdini.” Proof that music lives forever!!!
