Calling all aspiring writers! On Monday, November 18th in Dole Hall at The University of Olivet, four women in publishing will be sharing their experiences breaking through in the publishing world! Come listen to the virtual panel in Klock Commons to hear how Ashley Wynter, Corley Longmire, Kerri Miller, and Mary Christensen navigated becoming published. The panel will consist of guidance through the process of becoming published, and will follow with a Q&A.

We at the Garfield Lake Review have received many wonderful submissions for the Spring 2025 issue from both within and without the Olivet community, but we’d love to receive more! We’ve extended the submission deadline for the Spring 2025 issue to Friday, September 27th, at 11:59pm.

LETS TALK THEME: COMING OF AGE
***Submissions open on September 2nd!!!***
Deadline for the public is September 16th, UO students may submit until September 20th. 2025 Edition will be published in April of 2025.
As we grow older, we begin to lose the childhood innocence that we so desperately once wanted to get rid of. We begin to find ourselves and face challenges that introduce us to adulthood. This year’s theme is focused on illuminating the threshold that is crossed from your teenage years into adulthood.
