Makes 24 dinner rolls 😁 Recipe below ⬇️ Texas Roadhouse Rolls 1 TBS. Active dry yeast 1/4 C. Water (warm) 1 C. Milk 1/4 C. Butter (melted/slightly cooled) 1/4 C. Sugar 1 Lg. Egg 3½ to 4 cups all-purpose flour 1 tsp. Salt Butter for brushing In a small bowl or measuring cup, dissolve the yeast in warm water and let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy. Warm the milk slightly (don’t let it boil), then pour it into a large mixing bowl. Add in the melted butter, sugar, and egg, and give it a good mix. Once the yeast is foamy, stir that in too. Start by adding the flour gradually, mixing until it forms a soft dough. It should pull away from the side but still feel slightly tacky. Add the salt near the end of mixing. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 6–8 minutes until smooth and elastic, or use a stand mixer with the dough hook. Grease a large bowl, place the dough inside, cover it, and let it rise in a warm spot until it’s doubled in size about an hour. Once risen, punch the dough down and roll it out on a floured surface about 1/2 inch thick, cut into even squares and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them just slightly apart. Cover again and let the rolls rise for about 1 hour. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown on top. While they’re still warm, brush the tops with melted butter. Serve warm roadhouse rolls with cinnamon honey butter 😁
