The Chicago Sun Times used to “write” their 2025 summer reading list and while it listed real authors, more than HALF of books don’t exist!!! This is baaaad 🫠

“The creator of the list, Marco Buscaglia, confirmed that he used AI to generate the content. "I do use AI for background at times but always check out the material first. This time, I did not and I can't believe I missed it because it's so obvious. No excuses," Buscaglia said. "On me 100 percent and I'm completely embarrassed."

One of the many reasons The Dreamland Report was created was to offer a reprieve from “dog whistle” moments like this.

Media bias comes in all forms. This time we see KETV choose a photo that doesn’t compliment the celebratory spirit that Ewing’s decisive political victory has brought to Omaha residents.

Specifically Black Omahans who are, for the first time in Omaha’s 150 year history, being represented by someone who looks like them, and smiles like them.

We look forward to offering you a safe space to receive local news without the unnecessary trauma that white led institutions often perpetuate.

Even before our official launch, The Dreamland Report has been telling the stories that matter to us.

The cancellation of the Omaha Community playhouse’s award ceremony left many confused, especially Black performers in one of their most diverse seasons.
This story amplifies their voices, revealing the struggles behind the curtain and the collective efforts to rebuild in tough systems.

We explored how they navigated this challenge and supported one another through uncertain times.

The Dreamland Report's statement following the 2024 Presidential election:

The Dreamland Report is a nonprofit organization (501c3) and a nonpartisan entity. We do not endorse candidates and show no favoritism to any one political party or ideology.

With that being said, we are an organization that stands in solidarity with communities that have been historically oppressed and excluded. Specifically the Black community.

Through this lens, we must acknowledge the overwhelming feelings of concern from the Black community about what this election means for the next four years, and how the attitude of the Trump administration will impact generations to come.

The Dreamland Report will officially launch in 2025, but we know that news is happening NOW. We will do our best to provide credible journalism and context to help our audience prepare for policy changes that will have direct implications for our local community through the rest of 2024.
